This is the beginning of a site where people from the Mar Vista community can learn about activities, come to one central website address and get all of the relevant links to activities and organizations in the area. Ideally, down the road, this site should be a place where you can also find out what is happening in the area - be it tree planting in the local community, fires in local businesses, or delays in city planning permits - this can be a place where individuals can write about stories that they know about and share them with the rest of the Mar Vista community.
This site is being launched on the day the Farmer's Market began on Grand View. On hand for the opening event was Bill Rosendahl, councilman for the local Mar Vista Area, and the Mar Vista Community Council. Big props to Venice Grind for being a part of making this happen. I guess if a private chef gives it a partial thumbs up it's a good thing.
